Murder with Lemon Tea Cakes is the start of the Daisy’s Tea Garden Mystery series. The book starts with Daisy, a widowed mom with two children, who finds herself worried when her aunt Iris starts dating a not-quite divorced man. The man’s ex causes a major scene at one of her events and now Daisy is hearing rumors about the man’s children being cut out of his will. It’s a bad scene all around, made worse when he turns up dead. Daisy hopes that they clear her aunt’s name from suspicion and find the real killer.
Karen is also the author of the Caprice De Luca series which starts with Staged to Death. The story takes place is Kismet, PA where Caprice is working as a home stager. She has taken her skills as an interior designer and parlayed them into a thriving business. Now, her old high school friend Roz has asked for help with her mansion that is for sale. She is more than happy to help, but things get complicated when Roz’s husband turns up dead. Caprice soon finds that home staging isn’t the only thing she is good at, she can also track down a killer.
