Kathy Lynn Emerson is an American novelist who writes historical mystery and romance novels (sometimes as Kaitlyn Gorton) and non-fiction books, as well as cozy mystery novels (as Kaitlyn Dunnett) and historical fiction (as Kate Emerson). She writes the Susanna, Lady Appleton, Liss MacCrimmon and Secrets of the Tudor Court series. Kathy has been writing ever since she wrote a newspaper for her dolls as a child. After growing up in New York, she moved to Maine for college, where she met her husband. Kathy still lives in Maine with her husband and their three cats.
Kathy Lynn Emerson became a published author in June 1984 with the historical non-fiction book Wives and Daughters: The Women of Sixteenth Century England.
