Laura Frantz is an award-winning author best known for writing historical novels. She is the author of the The Ballantyne Legacy series of books as well as numerous standalone novels.
Frantz is a former winner of the Christy Award. Her own history at least partially inspires her interest in history as she is a direct descendant of George Hume, Wedderburn Castle, Berwickshire, Scotland, who was exiled to the American colonies for his role in the Jacobite Rebellion of 1715. Her ancestor is is credited with teaching surveying to George Washington. Laura is from Kentucky and makes her home in Washington State with her husband.
