Rudyard Kipling (1865-1936) was an English author of short stories, children’s literature, poetry, travelogues and science fiction. He is most famous for his short story collection The Jungle Book, Kim and several other stories. Kipling would receive a Noble Prize for Literature in 1907.
Rudyard Kipling’s first work of published fiction was a poetry collection called Schoolboy Lyrics. His first collection of short stories was The Phantom ‘Rickshaw in 1888, followed quickly by Plain Tales from the Hills that same year.
