Whatever After is a series of children’s novels by Canadian author Sarah Mlynowski. In the Whatever After series, Sarah Mlynowski takes classic fairy tales and puts her own modern spin on them. Abby and her brother Jonah discover that the mirror in their basement can transport them into fairy tales. But when things go wrong, it’s up to them to fix the trouble they caused so everyone can live happily ever after.

Whatever After Synopsis: Fairest of All by Sarah Mlynowski is the first book in the Whatever After series. Once upon a time Abby and her brother Jonah were normal kids. But one day, the mirror in their basement slurped them up and magically transported them inside Snow White’s fairy tale. After stopping Snow White from eating the poisoned apple, at first it was a time to celebrate. Or not. If Snow White doesn’t die, she won’t get to meet her prince. And then she won’t get her happy ending. Now, Abby and Jonah have to avoid getting poisoned, sneak into a castle, and fix Snow White’s story. But Snow White’s real happy ending might not end up exactly as they imagined…
