Scholastic has announced a multi-platform fantasy series written for tweens called Spirit Animals. The series will launch in September with the first novel, Wild Born being written by Brandon Mull. The second book has a January 2014 release date and will be written by Maggie Stiefvater.


Fablehaven is a series of young adult fantasy novels by American novelist Brandon Mull. It is a refuge for mystical creatures, including light creatures like fairies, nymphs, satyrs and centaurs and dark creatures like trolls, goblins, ogres, imps and demons.


Brandon Mull is an American author of YA fantasy novels and is most notable for his Fablehaven series. Besides being a novelist, Brandon has also been a comedian, filing clerk, patio installer, movie promoter, copywriter and even a chicken stacker. He counts his influences as J.R.R. Tolkien, C.S. Lewis and J.K. Rowling.
