Despite what Jonny Lee Miller claimed, “Sherlock” star Benedict Cumberbatch says he would have preferred if Jonny passed on the role of Sherlock Holmes in the upcoming CBS show “Elementary.” Jonny and Benedict have worked together recently in Danny Boyle’s production of “Frankenstein.”

Jim Butcher, author of The Dresden Files, has announced that he will be starting a new steampunk series tentatively titled The Cinder Spires. The first book in the series is (also tentatively) titled The Aeronaut’s Windlass, which Jim should be finished by the end of the year.

What books are you most ashamed to be seen reading? A recent poll done by 60 Minutes/Vanity Fair has Fifty Shades of Grey by E.L. James at a shockingly low 5%, whereas Barack Obama’s memoir Dreams from My Father at 16%. Meanwhile, Mitt Romney’s non-existent memoir is at 8%.
