Order of Boris Akunin Books
Boris Akunin is the pen name of Russian author Grigory Shalvovich Chkhartishvili, who writes crime fiction and historical fiction novels. He is the author of the Erast Fandorin historical mystery series as well as the Sister Pelagia series. Boris was born in Zestafoni, Georgia, but has lived in Moscow, Russia ever since he was two years old. He is an expert on Japan, being influenced by Kabuki theatre and has written a 20-volume anthology on Japanese literature under his real name.
Boris Akunin became a published novelist in 1998 with his novel Azazel, which was translated into English as The Winter Queen and published in 2003. The novel began his Erast Fandorin series and was shortlisted for the Dagger Award in Fiction by the British Crime Writers’ Association.
