Hakan Nesser is a Swedish author of crime fiction. He began writing in 1988, but didn’t start writing full-time until 1998, when he retired from teaching. Hakan grew up in Kumla, Sweden, but lived in Uppsala for many years until moving to New York City and then to London. He is best known for his Inspector Van Veeteren series.
Hakan Nesser made his debut in his native language of Swedish in 1988, but got his first novel translated into English in 2006, which was Borkmann’s Point. Below is a list of Hakan Nesser’s books in order of when they were first published in English:
