Breath: The New Science of a Lost Art is an in-depth look into the world of breathing. Nothing in your life matters as much as breathing properly. Somehow humans have lost the ability to breathe correctly and Nestor sets out to find out why as well as how to fix it. His search takes him from ancient burial sites, secret Soviet facilities, New Jersey choir schools, to the streets of São Paulo. Modern research shows that even slight adjustments to our breathing can improve our lives in a variety of ways. Nestor draws on thousands of years of medical texts to turn what we think we know about breathing on its head.

Deep: Freediving, Renegade Science, and What the Ocean Tells Us About Ourselves takes us deep into the ocean to the most mysterious places on the planet. Nestor takes his fascination with freediving and embeds with a group of extreme athletes and researchers. He’ll find connections with deep sea animals and our own, hidden potential that surfaces when humans are underwater. As he researches, Nestor finds his own kills becoming unlocked and his definition of what is possible expanding.
