Something More Than Night is a unique reimagining of the lives of Raymond Chandler and Boris Karloff. The story takes place in the 1930s when Raymond Chandler was writing detective stories for pulp magazines and Karloff played monsters in the movies. What people don’t know is that when they aren’t working, they investigate mysterious matters in Los Angeles. An investigator from the DA’s office ends up enlisting the two to works a case that could expose some of Hollywood’s darkest secrets. The two will find out more than they should about how Hollywood really works and find that monsters aren’t just for the movies.
Anno Dracula is the first book in the series of the same name. The story takes place in 1888 when Queen Victoria has just remarried to Vlad Tepes, also known as Count Dracula. The story focuses on vampire Geneviève Dieudonné and Charles Beauregard of the Diogenes Club as the two team up to solve the Jack the Ripper murders. The story features many familiar characters from Victorian history and fiction, and manages to combine horror, politics, mystery and romance in a unique way.
