Paul Tremblay is a Bram Stoker Award and Locus Award winning author of horror, science fiction, and dark fantasy novels. He is best known for writing books like The Cabin at the End of the World and Survivor Song.

Tremblay grew up in Aurora, Colorado but his family later moved to Massachusetts. He would head to Providence College for school where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree and then headed to the University of Vermont where he earned his master’s degree in mathematics. After college he went to work teaching at a private school outside of Boston where he still teaches today. Tremblay has had his work optioned for film including A Head Full of Ghosts and The Cabin at the End of the World.

A Head Full of Ghosts sees the lives of a family that is torn apart when their daughter begins to show signs of schizophrenia. The Barretts go to the doctors, but they are hopeless to keep their daughter from descending into madness. The family ends up contacting a priest who wants to perform an exocism while also having it filmed for a reality television show. The family soon founds themselves as stars of a his show. Now, fifteen years later, a writer seeks to interview Marjorie’s younger sister Mary who lived through the events when she was only eight years old, but has memories far different than what aired on television.

Tremblay also wrote The Cabin at the End of the World which sees a seven-year-old girl named Wen head to a remote cabin in the woods with her two dads, Eric and Andrew. One day while out in the yard, a stranger arrives and tells Wen that “none of what is going to happen is your fault.” Then three more strangers arrive. They tell Wen they need their help to save the world.
