Mrs. Pargeter is the protagonist in a series of cozy mystery novels by British novelist Simon Brett. Mrs. Pargeter is an attractive widow who uses her late husband’s old friends to assist her in solving various mysteries.
Simon Brett introduced the Mrs. Pargeter character in 1986 with the novel A Nice Class of Corpse. The series originally concluded in 1998 with the novel Mrs. Pargeter’s Point of Honour, but was revived in 2015. The series is currently ongoing.
