The Tudor Saga is a series of historical fiction novels by Jean Plaidy (also known as Victoria Holt, Eleanor Burford and Philippa Carr). The series is based on the Tudor dynasty, which reigned in England from 1485 until 1603.
The Tudor Saga was started in 1949 with Murder Most Royal (aka King’s Pleasure). The series would end with Uneasy Lies the Head (which was also published as To Hold the Crown). Notes: Uneasy Lies the Head was also published as To Hold the Crown. Murder Most Royal is also titled King’s Pleasure. Saint Thomas’ Eve is also titled The King’s Confidante. The Spanish Bridegroom was re-published as For a Queen’s Love. Gay Lord Robert was also published under the titles Lord Robert and A Favorite of the Queen.
