Liz Mugavero began writing stories as soon as she could hold a pen, and has been telling them for even longer. It wouldn’t take long before she would decide to write for a living, and practiced by writing bad poems full of angst, short stories and a soap opera storyline by the time she was 15. Liz earned her Master’s degree in writing and publishing and worked in journalism, PR and corporate communications. She has a day job working in marketing and writes her novels at night (or any other spare moment she gets). Aside from writing, Liz loves animals, the beach, reading and drinking Starbucks. James Hadley Chase (1906-1985) was an English author of mystery, suspense and romance novels. He wrote the Steve Harmas, Frank Terrell and Mark Girland series. Chase was born to a veterinary surgeon and Indian Army colonel who intended him to pursue science. At 18, he had other plans and worked a number of different jobs, such as a children’s encyclopedia salesman, a salesman in a bookshop and an executive for a book wholesaler. After that, he turned to writing and embarked on a very prolific career writing novels. Chase enjoyed photography, reading and listening to classical music.
