Julie Kagawa is an American author of YA fantasy novels. She writes the Iron Fey, Blood of Eden and Talon series. Born in Sacramento, California, she ended up moving to Hawaii as a kid – a land full of large insects, geckos and frequent hurricanes. Julie spent her time in class reading, especially when she wasn’t supposed to. She tried making her love of books into a job at a bookstore, which didn’t work out when she would rather read than shelve books. Julie then moved onto training animals, which she did until her first book sold and she could become a full-time novelist. Julie lives in Louisville, Kentucky.
