Vince Flynn, the author of the critically-acclaimed “Mitch Rapp” series of books, has passed away. Flynn battled prostate cancer for the last couple of years, and lost the battle on Wednesday, June 19th, 2013.

Doubleday has announced that Dan Brown‘s next novel will be coming out in May. The novel, titled Inferno, will again feature his character Robert Langdon (The Da Vinci Code).

Scholastic has announced a multi-platform fantasy series written for tweens called Spirit Animals. The series will launch in September with the first novel, Wild Born being written by Brandon Mull. The second book has a January 2014 release date and will be written by Maggie Stiefvater.
