Anne Perry is an English author of historical detective fiction and mystery novels. Where is the chronological order? I only see publication order.
Anne had stated that it is internally chronological and thus they are the same.
Maybe within series, but at least some of these series have crossover characters, so they’re in the same universe. The WWI series has mention of the Pitts (and perhaps has Jemima), yet there are more Victorian Pitt novels published after.
does anyone else find it incredibly creepy that this woman is a murderer herself, and is now making money off of that by writing about fictional representations of murder???
Making money from writing murder mysteries is not limited to murderers or other criminals. Maybe she would have written the books anyway. But she’s not “making money” off of something she did when she was 15 (and served her time for), she’s earning a living writing good books. And her stories are full of right and wrong, good and evil, justice and redemption.
No, I do not. That was something that happened many years ago when she was a child. 15 year old kids do not realize the results of stupid things they may do. She did her time and then went on to a very useful life. We cannot judge people at times on things they do. You have to walk that proverbial mile in their shoes. Just get off the judgment thing and enjoy her wonderful books. She has paid her dues. Write on, Anne!!
I’ve been read Anne Perry for about 4 years now. I love her writing, the language of the 19th Century, her ability to describe the clothes, homes, alley ways, London of the late 1800’s. I always look forward to her new writings.
Anne Perry (to me) is a fabulous writer- I have enjoyed her books, even re-read them. Now that I have found those books that I have missed, I am excited that once again I will have the pleasure of a good reading (specially now that winter time is approaching)
This was very helpful…just discovered her in the form of Blind Justice. Hope the rest (I’ll start at the beginning) are as good
Trust me! They are all wonderful!:)
Believe me, they are!!
