David Handler is an American author of crime fiction who began his career as a journalist in New York. A native of Los Angeles, Handler began his career with his Danny Levine series about growing up in the City of Angels. His other series feature Stewart Hoag & Lulu and Berger & Mitry. David has won the Edgar Award and American Mystery Award and has received nominations for the Dilys Award and the Derringer Award. He lives in a two-century-old house in Old Lyme, Connecticut.
