It’s One of Us by J.T. Ellison is a standalone novel. Olivia Bender possesses a remarkable talent for crafting exquisite home interiors that cater to even the most discerning clientele. Yet, beneath her skillful designs, there lies a profound longing that transcends the realm of luxury furnishings and decor. Olivia’s deepest yearning is to embrace motherhood, an aspiration that remains frustratingly out of reach despite her best efforts and countless attempts at fertility treatments and IVF.
In the midst of her emotional struggle, Olivia receives a jarring revelation from the police that sends shockwaves through her and her husband, Park. The DNA evidence from a murder investigation points directly to Park’s own son as the prime suspect. Olivia initially finds a sense of relief, confident that this must be a grave mistake. After all, the Benders have never had children of their own. However, the situation takes an alarming turn when Park confesses a hidden truth.
Years earlier, Park had made a sperm donation to a fertility clinic, a decision that he believed would remain anonymous and uncomplicated.
