Order of Julia Quinn Books
Julia Quinn is the pen name of American author Julie Pottinger, who writes historical romance novels. She writes the Bridgerton series and the Smythe-Smith Quartet series. Julia chose her pen name so that her novels would appear next to Amanda Quick‘s on bookshelves. She grew up reading Sweet Dreams and Sweet Valley High books, already telling her father that she was reading them to study how to write. A young Julia even wrote a couple of chapters and submitted them to the publishers of Sweet Dreams, but was rejected. She ended up going to Harvard, graduating with an Art History degree. While she planned to go to medical school, two novels that she had written got sold in an auction. She delayed her schooling in order to write more novels. When Julia finally made it to med school, it took only a few months for her to give it up in favour of a full-time writing career. In 2001, she appeared on the TV game show The Weakest Link, winning $79,000. Julia lives with her husband, Paul Pottinger, in the Pacific Northwest.
Julia Quinn became a published author in 1995 with the novels Splendid and its follow-up, Dancing at Midnight. Below is a list of Julia Quinn’s books in order of when they were originally published:
