I met Todd Borg at a book reading, and was taken in by his setting — Lake Tahoe — so I bought the book. When I couldn’t put it down, and was disappointed when I had no more pages to read, I hit the library and started with his first story in the series, “Tahoe Deathfall”. Couldn’t put it down. I was again disappointed, but only that the book ended, so I checked out the third, then the next and the next to the end of those that he’d written.

It was like being on an adventure vacation with familiar scenery and dangerous challenges. This was 5 years ago.

Todd publishes every August, and it was only February, so I sent him a message that started “Write faster!” and explained my problem.

Now I look forward to each August when I can see what the cast of characters (and the great dane) are up to. But still, one book a year just isn’t enough.

Now he’s outdone himself! He’s released a new series, “Wilderness …” starting with four books, and had the good sense to continue to use the world class geography of Lake Tahoe, Yosemite, and the Sierra Nevada region. And he’s created another quirky character. Look for her!

I haven’t received the first of the “Wilderness” series yet, but knowing Todd, his main character will be inventive, responsible, and admirable. His stories are “me time” with good friends.

Which is why I still wish that he would write faster.
