Robin D. Owens is an American author of fantasy and futuristic romance, urban fantasy and romantic fantasy novels. She writes the Celta, Summoning and Ghost Seer series. Robin was named 2004 Rocky Mountain Fiction Writers’ Writer of the Year, 2001 Writer of the Year and won other awards, including the Colorado Romance Writers Lifetime Achievement Award and the 2010 Best Paranormal and Best of the Best Daphne du Maurier Award. Order of Nigel Tranter Books
Nigel Tranter (1909-2000) was a Scottish historian and author. He was born in Glasgow and attended George Heriot’s School in Edinburgh. Nigel went onto become an accountant, working for his uncle’s company, the Scottish National Insurance Company. He served as part of the Royal Artillery during World War II, serving in East Anglia. As an author, Nigel is perhaps best known for his historical fiction and non-fiction, focusing on books on castles and Scottish history. Order of Shelby Foote Books
Shelby Foote (1916-2005) was a American novelist and military historian. He is best known for his three-volume history of the Civil War entitled The Civil War: A Narrative. With geographic and cultural roots in the Mississippi Delta, Foote’s life and writing paralleled the radical shift from the agrarian planter system of the Old South to the Civil Rights era of the New South. Foote was relatively unknown to the general public for most of his career until his appearance on the PBS documentary “The Civil War” in 1990, where he introduced a generation of Americans to a war that he believed was central to the lives of all Americans. Foote passed away in 2005 (aged 88) and was interred in Elmwood Cemetery in Memphis. His grave is beside the family plot of General Forrest. (more…)

Richard Farr is an English author of young adult, fiction and non-fiction books. He grew up in the West Country of England – among the world’s leading producers of odd names for small villages. Prior to becoming a full-time author, Richard worked as a teacher of English as a second language, a farmhand, a journalist, a college philosophy professor, a voiceover talent, a corporate trainer and speechwriter, a copywriter, a stay-at-home father, and a gas station attendant. William Johnston (1924-2010) was an American author. He was born in Lincoln, Illinois in 1924. William served in the Pacific with the U.S. Navy beginning in 1942. He went onto work as a disc jockey, advertising executive, magazine editor, and in public relations before becoming a writer. William would write everything from comic mysteries to pulp to light comedy to medical romance to softcore erotica. He wrote tie-in novels for series like Happy Days, The Flying Nun and Get Smart. After he retired as a writer, William owned and operated a bar for many years in San Jose, CA. He passed away in 2010. (more…)
