Mary Pope Osborne is an American author of children’s books and young adult novels, best known for her Magic Tree House fantasy/adventure series for children. She is also the author of the Tales from the Odyssey series. Mary grew up as an army brat and lived in Oklahoma, Austria, Florida and North Carolina. The lifestyle she lived growing up has definitely left a mark on Mary, giving her peripatetic tendencies and a love of adventure that she channelled into her writing. Johanna Lindsey (1952-2019) was an American novelist of historical romance. She was the daughter of a U.S. Army soldier that was stationed in Germany, where she was born (although as an army brat, she wouldn’t stay long and moved around frequently). While still in school, Johanna married young and became a housewife. The spare time gave Johanna the opportunity to write her first novel, Captive Bride, on a whim. Her novels have been set during the Middle Ages, the Regency, the Old West and the Viking era. Her female characters are feisty and strong-willed heroines, whereas her male characters are self-reliant, powerful and sexual alpha males. The Matt Royal Mystery series is a mystery/thriller series by American novelist H. Terrell Griffin. The titular character is a trial lawyer who went into early retirement to spend his days on the beautiful beaches of Florida, in his hometown of Longboat Key. This doesn’t mean that Matt is done with trouble though, as trouble still seems to find Matt Royal. John D. H. Terrell Griffin was an American author of mystery/thriller novels. He spent his adult life as a soldier, student, lawyer and writer. Terry got his law degree from Macon, Georgia’s Mercer University and graduated in the top 10% of his class and received the Delta Theta Phi Award for Outstanding Scholarship. He then went home to Central Florida and practiced law for the next 38 years before retirement, and career switch to full-time writer. He is also a lifelong member of the 14th Cavalry Association and is the holder of a U.S. Coast Guard 100 Ten Masters License. In Terry’s new career, he writes the Matt Royal Mystery series.
