Julie Smith is an American author of mystery novels. She writes and has written the Rebecca Schwartz, Paul McDonald, Skip Langdon and Talba Wallis series. After Julie graduated from the University of Mississippi, she wroked as a journalist for the next 16 years in New Orleans and San Francisco. She has also worked as a copywriter and as a public information officer. She won the Edgar Award in 1991 for Best Novel for her novel New Orleans Mourning.
