Thomas A. (T.A.) Barron is an American author of YA fantasy novels and nature-themed non-fiction books. He writes the Merlin Saga, Atlantis Saga and the Heroic Adventures of Kate series. Barron grew up in Massachusetts and Colorado and quickly gained a great appreciation for nature and the natural world. He attended Princeton University and Balliol College, Oxford University (as a Rhodes Scholar) and earned his business and law degrees from Harvard University. The character was created by Henry Ralston, John Nanovic and Lester Dent (who wrote the majority of the novels in the series’ original run). Clark “Doc” Savage, Jr. has a genius-level IQ, is in perfect physical shape, is a skilled scientist, surgeon, inventor, detective and martial artist.
