The Rizzoli & Isles books are a crime/medical thriller series. The book series was adapted into a crime drama/police procedural television series that airs on TNT called Rizzoli & Isles. Surrey Writing Contest Begins; $4,600 in Cash Prizes

For those who think they have writing talent of their own, the Surrey International Writers’ Conference Writing Contest has now begun. Hopeful writers and poets can submit their best work for a chance to win cash prizes totaling nearly $5,000. The deadline is September 14, 2012.

Authors Diana Gabaldon and Jack Whyte started the Storyteller’s Award to help celebrate the 10th annual conference. Both have been big-time supporters of the conference for many years. (more…)

Tess Gerritsen is an American novelist and physician who started out writing romantic suspense novels before moving onto medical thrillers in 1996 with Harvest. In her medical thrillers, she is known for her graphic detail of autopsy scenes. In 2001, she begun her Rizzoli & Isles series featuring Detective Jane Rizzoli and Medical Examiner Dr. Maura Isles which has been most of her novels since that time. (more…)

The Millennium Series is a series of crime/thriller novels posthumously published by Swedish author Stieg Larsson. The main protagonist of the series is Lisbeth Salander.
