Amazon has announced that it has purchased Avalon Books, which adds over 3000 romance, mystery and Western titles to its library. Amazon is looking to publish Avalon’s titles under the imprints 47North, Montlake Romance and Thomas & Mercy. You can expect to see Avalon Books available as eBooks in the coming months.

Orion has signed Robert Crais for two more novels, as the author’s eBooks have been selling exceptionally well. Deputy publisher Jon Wood purchased the UK/Commonwealth rights from Caspian Dennis. The novels are set to be released in 2013 and 2014.
