Barbara Nadel is a English author of crime fiction and historical fiction novels. She writes the Inspector Ikmen, Francis Hancock and Hakim & Arnold series. Barbara has been referred to as “The Donna Leon of Istanbul,” referring to the fact that her style is similar to Leon’s, except her books are set in Turkey rather than Italy. She has been visiting Turkey for over 25 years. Barbara was born in London’s East End, has been trained as an actress and has worked in the mental health field. She now lives in the North of England. David Drake is an American author of science fiction and fantasy novels. He is the author of the Hammer’s Slammers, Lord of the Isles and Lt. Leary series as well as the creator of the Raj Whitehall and Belisarius series. David graduated from the University of Iowa with honours.
