Jerry Ahern (1946-2012) was an American author of science fiction and action novels, best known his post-apocalyptic series The Survivalist. Aside from being a novelist, Ahern wrote for firearms magazines including Guns & Ammo, Handguns and Gun World. He often collaborated with wife Sharon Ahern. Eric Flint was an American author of science fiction, alternate history and fantasy novels and short stories. Flint also works as an editor and as an e-publisher for the Baen Free Library. He is best known for his 1632 series. Flint got his PhD in History, but left the program due to political issues. From there, he worked various jobs until he got serious about writing and became a full-time writer in 1999.
