The Maze Runner is a series of young adult dystopian science fiction novels by American author James Dashner. The series’ protagonist, Thomas, wakes up at the beginning of the series with no memory. He soon meets a group of boys called the Gladers, who live in a giant maze that is also inhabited by monsters known as Grievers. Thomas’ goal is to solve the maze. The 13th Reality is a series of YA sci-fi/fantasy adventure novels by American novelist James Dashner. The series is about a 13 year-old boy named Atticus Higginbottom (nicknamed Tick) who receives a letter that says that that reality may soon be destroyed. Tim Green Speaks About Young Readers

Tim Green, an NFL football player-turned-author, spoke to students in Illinois about the importance of reading.

“I loved sports, but I also loved books,” said Green, who played for the Atlanta Falcons for eight years. “They were magical to me. They took me to another time and place. Books are exercise for your brain. You should read 20 minutes a day. You don’t have to own the books. You can go to the library.” (more…)

James Dashner is an American author of science fiction and fantasy novels written for young adults and children. His series include The Maze Runner, The 13th Reality and Jimmy Fincher Saga. James knew he wanted to be a writer from a young age, reading anything from The Chronicles of Narnia to Lord of the Rings to The Hardy Boys. FBI Kept Eye On Hunter S. Thompson

RT.com reports the FBI kept close tabs on Gonzo journalist Hunter S. Thompson, although it’s not clear why.

Records indicate that the FBI had a close-eye on Thompson, who committed suicide in 2005, perhaps due to his hatred for President Nixon. (more…)
