“Jack Ryan” Gets Release Date
Written by Brandon Williams on Tuesday, August 28th, 2012It appears that the new Jack Ryan film adaptation, titled Jack Ryan, has a release date of December 25th, 2013 from Paramount.
The film will star Star Trek’s Chris Pine, as well as Keira Knightley and Kenneth Branagh (who will also direct). Pine and Knightley are signed on for two more films in hopes of a franchise. (more…)

Ellis Peters was the pen name of English novelist Edith Pargeter (1913-1995). During her literary career, she wrote mysteries, historical fiction, non-fiction and translated Czech classics. Edith wrote under several different pseudonyms (including John Redfern, Joylon Carr and Peter Benedict), but it was as Ellis Peters that she would gain the most fame, writing the Cadfael Chronicles and the Inspector Felse series using that nom de plume. Bernie Rhodenbarr is a fictional character created by American novelist Lawrence Block. Rhodenbarr is a NYC thief who is an expert lockpick who loves the thrill of breaking and entering. The series is lighter in tone than Block’s Matt Scudder series.
