Anna Pigeon is a fictional character in a series of mystery novels by American author Nevada Barr. Anna is a park ranger at the same time as being a detective. Each one of the Anna Pigeon books takes place in a new national park wherein Pigeon must solve a new mystery. Anna is a small middle-aged woman with long, grey hair that she keeps in a braid. Nevada Barr is an American author who is best known for her Anna Pigeon mystery series. Barr was born in Nevada, but she was not named after her home state, but rather a book that her father liked. Kidson-Trigg Auctioneers has sold 18 first-edition novels by classic English author Agatha Christie for a staggering £20,000 (approx. $32,200 USD). The books belonged to Agatha’s assistant Charlotte Fisher. (more…)
