Joe R. Lansdale is an American author of western, horror, science fiction, mystery and suspense novels and stories. He is the author of the Hap & Leonard series. Lansdale is also a prolific graphic novel writer, has written multiple episodes of animated series like Batman and Superman and is also a screenwriter. In addition to that, films have been made out of his works Incident On and Off a Mountain Road, Bubba Ho-Tep, Christmas with the Dead and Cold in July. Aside from writing, Lansdale founded a martial arts system called Shen Chuan: Martial Science and is the member of two martial arts halls of fame. Ed Greenwood is a Canadian author of fantasy novels. He is best known for creating the Forgotten Realms world, but has also written other series such as the Band of Four series. Greenwood had conceived of Forgotten Realms when he was young and when he got into Dungeons & Dragons, he used it as a campaign setting. When game company TSR was looking for a new setting, they found Greenwood and were impressed with his campaign world and decided to use it for Advanced Dungeons & Dragons.
