“The Hobbit” Film Series Gets New Titles & Release Dates

Peter Jackson’s Hobbit series, based on the books by J.R.R. Tolkien, now have new titles and release dates that have been announced.

Warner Bros. has announced that the second film will now be titled “The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug,” with a release date of December 13, 2013.

The third film will now be titled “The Hobbit: There and Back Again,” which was the title for the second film. That movie will be released on July 18, 2014. (more…)
