Race To Find Next E.L. James Has Already Begun
Written by Brandon Williams on Sunday, July 22nd, 2012E.L. James can be credited with a lot of things, including the rise in sex shop sales, but one of the most important things she and others like her appears to be revolutionizing the publishing industry.
Because Fifty Shades started out as an eBook, publishers are now storming the various online platforms such as the fan site that James first got noticed on and looking for the next E.L. James.
Pearson, owner of Penguin Books, purchased grassroots publisher Author Solutions for $115m last week. The purpose of the purchase is so they themselves won’t have to seek out the next big thing, but rather they will already own that author’s work. (more…)

Branagh To Play Villain in New Jack Ryan Film?

In addition to being a director, Branagh is also an actor. Therefore, he is “in talks” to play the villain in the film. The character’s name is Viktor Stazov, who is a “financial wiz who, with the help of the Russian government, masterminds a plot to devalue American currency and thus destroy the U.S. economy.” (more…)
Film Based On Ludlum’s “The Osterman Weekend” Casting Soon

Lionsgate has announced that they will be casting The Osterman Weekend next week. The screenplay was written by Jesse Wigutow. The novel has already been adapted into a movie, by legendary director Sam Peckinpah back in 1983. It was the Wild Bunch director’s final film. (more…)
