Les Roberts is an American author of mystery novels. Before getting into the world of fiction writing, Les worked in Hollywood for 24 years, where he wrote and produced over 2,500 half-hour segments of television. During that time, he wrote for The Hollywood Squares, The Lucy Show, The Andy Griffith Show, The Jackie Gleason Show, The Man from U.N.C.L.E. and more. The Inheritance Cycle is a tetralogy of young adult epic fantasy novels by American novelist Christopher Paolini. The series is set in Alagaesia, a world inhabited by humans, elves, dwarves, dragons, werecats and other races. The main character is named Eragon who has a dragon named Saphira who are attempting to overthrow the evil king Galbatorix. The first novel of the series was adapted to film, grossing $250 million. Christopher Paolini is an American author of young adult fantasy novels. His series is called the Inheritance Cycle. Christopher was home-schooled by his parents growing up. After graduation, he began writing. His break came when Carl Hiaasen‘s stepson read his novel Eragon and Hiaasen brought it to the publisher Knopf’s attention. She came up with the pen name “Josephine Tey” from her mother’s first name (Josephine) and her grandmother’s maiden name (Tey).
