The Old Kingdom refers to the setting of the series. It is either of a separate dimension or alternate reality from the other nations, such as Ancelstierre to the south. Garth Nix is an Australian author of children’s and young adult fantasy novels. He writes the Old Kingdom, Seventh Tower and Keys to the Kingdom, as well as the Troubletwisters series (with Sean Williams). Aside from being an author, Garth has worked in several capacities in the literary field, including as a bookseller, book sales representative, publicist, editor, marketing consultant and literary agent. Wilderness is a series of western novels by American novelist David Robbins (originally as David Thompson). The protagonist of this series is a young New York City accountant named Nate King who heads off to the Remote Mountains with an uncle of his named Zeke. While he’s there, he meets a Shoshone woman named Wi-no-na who he falls in love with. Nate decides to settle out there and builds a cabin, becoming a Colorado mountain man. The series has a large dose of action with a steady stream of characterization. Many of the stories are realistic, but others have a fantasy element to them. (more…)

Endworld is a series of post-apocalyptic novels by American author David Robbins. The series is set 100 years following World War III, which was contested between the U.S. and the U.S.S.R. The series focuses around a survivalist group called The Family, located in a compound known as The Home. The United States has been ruined by nuclear, biological and chemical weapons. Going outside is extremely hazardous. Their guardians are called The Warriors, who must deal with any threat to The Family or The Home. He rides a horse he calls “the Ovaro” and carries a .44 Colt. The books in the series have been written by many different authors, including Robert J. Randisi, J.B. Order of David Robbins Books
David Robbins is an American author of western, horror, science fiction, fantasy, young adult, mystery and adventure novels. He is the author of the Wilderness series, Endworld and Blade series, White Apache and Davy Crockett series. David has also written for the Executioner, Mack Bolan, Trailsman, Mountain Majesty, Preacher’s Law, Omega Sub and Hardy Boys series. Many of those series are written under pen or house names like David Thompson, Jake McMasters, Jon Sharpe, John Killdeer, J.D. Cameron, Dean L. McElwain, Don Pendleton, Franklin W. Dixon and Ralph Compton. Robbins grew up in Pennsylvania, including a significant amount of time living on a Mennonite farm with his great aunt and uncle. When he was 17 years old, he joined the U.S. Air Force and made sergeant. Robbins worked as an announcer, engineer and program director in radio, then worked in law enforcement before becoming a full-time author. He is not to be confused with the author David L.
