Tony Valentine is the protagonist in a series of crime fiction novels by American author James Swain. Valentine is an ex-cop originally from New Jersey who used to patrol the Atlantic City casinos. After retirement, he headed south to Florida, but is lured into Las Vegas, where he can put his skills to use against casino cheats. The series was optioned for film in 2009 by Langley Films. (more…)

Terry Pratchett Starts New Production Company
Written by Brandon Williams on Tuesday, October 2nd, 2012Terry Pratchett has started his own television production company called Narrativia, which will have exclusive rights to his works in the field. The company will produce TV adaptations biggest novels, including a four-part series based on Good Omens that will be written by Gavin SCott and Monty Python’s Terry Jones.
The new company will be run by managing director Rod Brown, Pratchett’s daughter Rhianna and Rob Wilkins, his manager. (more…)

Although it is a fantasy series, Smith also mixes in plenty of horror and romance. “Night World” refers to a secret society of vampires, werewolves, witches and shapeshifters who live among humans (who are oblivious). Each story follows a different teenage girl as the protagonist. The two rules to prevent discovery are never to allow humans to gain knowledge of their existence and never to fall in love with one.
