Each month we ask our Facebook followers for a book or series recommendation based on a particular genre or similar parameters – and then print the answers in our mid-month newsletter.

I thought it would be a good idea to have a separate page listing these, as I use it as a reference guide often.

This list is of the Top “First” Audiobooks which was first posted in the December 2020 Newsletter.

The making of this list was inspired by my own experience. I wanted to give listening to audiobooks a try and asked for recommendations on what the best audiobook to start with would be. I got some great replies and have been enjoying listening to them ever since!

Do you have any recommendations for people in the same boat? Let us know in the comments.

The Father Tim series by Jan Karon. About Father Tim and the people of the small town of Mitford. You will laugh and you will cry. John McDonough’s narration is outstanding. These books are a great way to take a break from the craziness of life these days. (Just in case you update your list)

    Greetings from Michigan,
    Re: Audiobooks
What a great revelation I had when I downloaded a few audiobooks to have while I recovered from eye surgery. After my recovery I can now read and knit and needlepoint at the same time!
    Love your newsletter,
    Kathy
